    Caretaker Punjab government deploys Rangers in Lahore to ‘obstruct’ PTI rally

    LAHORE – The caretaker Punjab govt has deployed Rangers ahead of the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf rally in Lahore.

    According to sources, Rangers will be deployed near Zaman Park and at sensitive areas to maintain law and order situation in the provincial capital.

    Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf is set to carry out a rally to start their election campaign after Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan announced yesterday of carrying out the rally.

    PTI Chief Imran Khan had announced that he would himself lead the rally at 2 pm.

    The Punjab govt has already imposed Section 144 in the city for one day. Provincial Minister for Information Mr Mir announced in a press conference that Section 144 was imposed for today(March-12).

    He said the Section 144 had been imposed due to the PSL match & a marathon rally. He had advised the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf not to carry out their rally.
